Bollywood Directors who Lost their Magic

I’ll say Bollywood is seriously lacking in good directors, we had only few good directors. And reason behind this is, in last 1-2 years we hardly saw a good movie. I think last good bollywood movie i saw was 3 Idiots and it has been more than 2 years but still I haven’t see a good Bollywood movie. One thing i noticed, some of Bollywood directors which had given good movies in past lost their magic. Their movies neither make business nor get critically acclaimed, don’t know what happened to them :(. In this post i want to highlights some of the directors names:

Subhash Ghai: Subhash Ghai is known as (or was known as) Showman of Bollywood, but from the last 3-4 years he’s struggling in giving a hit. His last 3-4 movies were biggest flops of respective years, Yaddie, Yuvraj, Kisna were some of films in that list.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali: Unfortunately, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has come in my list, Sanjay had gave some of the big hits which include the Hum Dil Chuke Sanam, Devdas and Black. But if we see his last movies Sawariya and Gujarish both failed in box office.

Mani Ratnam: Mani Ratnam is biggest name in my list, Mani sir is one of the my favourite director but in last few years he failed to fulfill the public expectations. Directors of movies like Roja, Dil Se, Bombay failed to make such type of classical movies again, his last movies Yuva, Guru, Ravana was not up to mark. I hope we will get some classical movies from him in future.

Aushutosh Gowariker: Aushutosh Gowariker, the director who had given Lagan movie to Bollywood is struggling in giving a good movie. If we see his last few movies for example, Whats your Rashi, Khale Ge Hum Gi Jaan se has not delivered well in box office nor acclaimed by critics.

Some of the other name which can come in my list are Vishal Bhardwaj, Aditya Chopra etc. I hope in next few year we will see some good movies form Subshah Ghai, Sanjay Leela, Mani and Aushutosh Gowariker.

Loved the Poetry of “Zindgi Na Milegai Dubara”

Today watched the movie “ZNMD” ,  got late in watching but enjoyed every bit of moment. Movie was good and i can go for second time. The most beautiful thing in movie was wonderful poetry of Javed Akthar Sahab, Farhan gave voice for poetry and done full judgement with poetry.

A few week ago i wrote the lyrics of  “To Zinda To Tum” in my blog, which i liked very much. But today i found there are a few more wonderful poetry in movie.

One of then “Dil Tu Kyu Rotha Hai” i liked the most. Here’s wonderful poem:

Jab Jab Dard Ka Badal Chaya, Jab Gum Ka Saya Lahreya
Jab Aansoo Palko Tak Aaya, Jab Ye Tanha Dil Ghabraya
Hamne Dil ko Ye Samghaya, Dil Aakhir Tu Kyu Rota Hai. Duniya Me yu Hi hota hai
Ye jo Gahre Sanatte Hai, Waqut Ne Sab Ko Hi Bante Hai
Thora Gum Hai Sab Ka Kissa, Tori Dhoop Hai Sub Ka Hissa
Aankh Teri Bekar Hi Nam Hai, Har Pal Ek Naya Mausam Hai
Kyu Tu Ase Pal Khota Hai, Dil Akhir tu Kyu Rota Hai

After a long time i listened deep meaningful poetry which forced me to write this post. It really touched my heart,  Hats off to Javed Sahab. Beside this i loved the song “Der Lagi Lekin” having beautiful lyrics and awesome composition of Shankar Eshan Loy. Don’t miss to watch the video of these poems which i got from YouTube.
